Contribution in error by each and every component of distribution system plays equal role. Along with faulty meters and improper secondary wiring, all the components of a metering system also contribute towards errors if not checked at proper intervals.
A metering unit mainly comprises of CTs, PTs, Meter and Secondary wiring. Due to unavailability of suitable & reliable methods or instruments for site testing, these components are not tested or rarely tested and used to see as sources of potential errors. Errors caused due to CTs & PTs lead to large losses to utilities and hence has become the major focus area to reduce losses. Testing Services is divided in two parts-
- CT/PT & HT Meter Testing
- Consumer Meter Testing
Our site testing covers the testing of single phase to three phase direct connected meters, LTCT operated meter along with LT Current Transformer and HT trivector meter up to class 0.2s along with potential and current transformer.
